For 42 years from 1953 to 1995, we have been producing citric acid from sweet potato starch lees by the fermentation method. Although the fermentation section is now completely shut down, low-cost wastewater treatment is being carried out by applying treatment technology for wastewater discharged from the fermentation process.
Acceptable materials (limited to emitters in Kagoshima Prefecture)
Shochu waste liquor, Whiskey waste liquor, Undehydrated sludge from wastewater treatment facilities, Waste liquid from various food factories (limited to those discharging within Kagoshima Prefecture)
